Room Rates
Choose your room. See your rate.
What you see here are low-season starting points, nightly rates rise and fall with the season (high vs low). The figure that counts is the one on your booking confirmation: we set it from your stay dates, the seasonal rate in effect then, and for ringgit, the exchange rate on the day you confirm. Our published room rates do not add Malaysia’s RM10 per room per night tourism tax.

Every rate includes high-speed WiFi, full gym access, all common areas, daily housekeeping, fresh linens, and 24/7 filtered cold and hot drinking water for refills. Malaysia’s RM10 per room per night tourism tax is not added on top. We absorb it. What stays outside the nightly rate on purpose: food (until Bambu Cafe opens we point guests at our Where to Eat list), loaner fight gloves or personal protective kit for the gym, transport to and from beaches, scooter rentals, and any tours you choose to book, so you only pay for what you actually use.
Two reasons we can name and one we can’t change. Reason one: Langkawi is duty-free, which lowers our cost on a chunk of operating supplies and our cost-of-living overall. Reason two: Bali boutique stays often unbundle gym, co-work, and breakfast as paid add-ons. When you total it line-by-line, the Bali “all-in” can run noticeably higher than a comparable Bambu month. The thing we can’t change: Bali has more demand and prices reflect it. The spreadsheet we’ve shown scouting guests is honest about where Bali wins (scene) and where Langkawi wins (cost, quiet, legal stay length).
No. We have never charged a resort fee and we do not add surprise line items at check-in. Pricing is intentionally flat: your room rate, plus the optional services bundle only if you book 14 nights or longer and choose that add-on. Malaysia’s RM10 per room per night tourism tax is included in the prices we show, not stacked on top. What you see for your dates is what you pay. The services add-on is opt-in for long stays and typically covers scooter rental introductions or partner discounts we trust, on-site laundry, and help coordinating island activities. It does not include a dedicated airport shuttle. If you ask ahead we may be able to help arrange a pickup with a local driver when availability allows.
Yes, materially. We discount weekly stays and discount monthly stays further, because turnover is the most expensive part of running rooms. Every changeover means cleaning, linens, restocking, and a check-in. A 30-night booking removes 23 of those, so we pass the saving back. We’ve watched the break-even play out on the spreadsheet: somewhere around the second week, the nightly equivalent of a monthly booking drops below most weekly bookings even before you factor in saved transport and admin friction. If you can flex your dates to a full month, do it. Savings reach about 35% on a 30-night Garden Cabin.
Direct, then Airbnb second. Booking direct through our site avoids the platform commissions Airbnb and other OTAs add into the nightly rate, so the same room often comes in cheaper here. Airbnb’s advantage is buyer protection and the Superhost badge, which matters if it’s your first time booking sight-unseen. We are an Airbnb Superhost. Either way, longer stays unlock better nightly rates. We don’t run flash sales or surprise discount codes; the rate you see for your dates is the real rate. We accept bank transfer, credit card, and PayPal direct.
Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival. 50% refund for cancellations 3–7 days before. No refund within 3 days of arrival. The three real-life situations we see most: (1) flight cancelled by an airline, in which case we work with you to reschedule rather than refund-and-relist; (2) genuine medical emergency with documentation, where we’ve always tried to be human about it; (3) change of mind close to the date, where the published cancellation window applies as written. We tell guests up front: if your plans are uncertain, book travel insurance with cancel-for-any-reason cover. It’s cheaper than guessing.
